This course provides a general description of the function of the business analyst and a detailled review of the requirements document provided to the development team. To guarantee an integrated team, IT developers need to understand the function of the business analyst. They must also be familiar with the requirements that business analysts gather and document. This includes understanding the categories of the requirements, the central components of the teams, and the formats of documentation used in each type of requirement. The members of the IT teams must also understand the lifecycle of the tests and personnel involved. This course provides students with a general description of the function of the business analyst, the documentation of the requirements, and the testing of software.

Objetives


Upon completion of this course, students will:

  • Identify the participants in the project and their functions.
  • Know the five main components of the requirements, what they describe and why they are important.
  • Know the recommended approach for the categorisation of requirements.
  • Review a sample package of requirements which includes:
    Knowing the documents of the two main tests

This course has been designed for software developers and architects, or any other member of the project team who will use the requirements documents in their development work. The course is useful for both new and experienced developers. The developers will learn the way in which business analysts gather, analyse and document requirements.
